Brazilian Health Ministry issues national guide on betting-related care
Brazil’s Ministry of Health launched a national guide on 15 January for caring for people with problems related to betting through the public health system. The guidance covers care across primary services, psychosocial care centres, hospitals and emergency services, while the ministry’s broader response also includes a centralised self-exclusion platform and a planned observatory with the Finance Ministry.
The guidance sets out how public health services should support people experiencing betting-related problems.
