Bolivia’s president proposes removing tax on gambling
Bolivian President Rodrigo Paz Pereira said he would send the legislature a bill to remove several taxes, including the gambling tax, to attract foreign investment and curb capital outflows. The government has not said when it will formally submit the bill or how it would replace any lost revenue. The proposal also covers taxes on financial transactions and commercial promotions.
Removing the gambling tax would change the tax framework for gambling businesses operating in Bolivia if lawmakers approve the proposal.
