FIGC president proposes 1% share of betting revenue for Italian football

Regulation

FIGC president Gabriele Gravina proposed allocating a share of sports betting revenue to support Italian football, according to the report. He cited an average of 1% in major European leagues and said the funding could support women’s football, stadium infrastructure and the men’s game; the proposal also seeks recognition of rights over betting on FIGC-organised events.

A revenue contribution could change the funding obligations of betting operators linked to Italian football.
