Betfair ends Italian affiliate programme as Flutter prepares market exit

Betfair has told its Italian affiliates that its Italian affiliate programme will end on 31 October 2026, according to a letter sent to affiliates. The letter states that Betfair will terminate each affiliate's participation in the Italian programme on that date under clause 12.5 of the Betfair Affiliate Programme terms and conditions. Affiliates are asked to remove all promotional content aimed at customers in Italy by 29 October 2026.

The letter says participation in affiliate programmes in other territories is unaffected, while an affiliate enrolled only in the Italian programme will cease entirely on 31 October 2026. Commission payments under the Italian programme will stop after the final cycle: commissions accrued and still owed for October 2026 will be processed and paid in November 2026, and no further commission payments will be made after that. Confidentiality obligations relating to the communication and the partnership agreement remain in force under clause 13.6 of the terms.

Betfair is part of the Flutter group, alongside brands including Snaitech, Sisal and PokerStars. According to the report, planned regulatory changes have made the Betfair Exchange service no longer commercially sustainable in Italy, and Flutter has decided to cease Betfair Sportsbook and Casino operations in the Italian market shortly. The report describes this as a marginal component of Flutter's revenue in Italy. Company sources told the report that the decision will have no impact on the group's other brands or on employees in the country.
