Belgium online gambling participation rises to 14.8% in 2023–2024 survey
Sciensano’s 2023–2024 health survey found that 14.8% of Belgium’s population gambles online, compared with 7.9% in 2018. BAGO called for stricter enforcement against unlicensed operators, while the survey also found that 52.6% of citizens remained exposed to gambling advertising weekly despite restrictions introduced in 2023.
