ASA tells Midnite to withdraw TV, on-demand and radio advert

Enforcement & compliance

The ASA told Midnite to stop using an advert shown on television, video-on-demand and radio in the UK between April and May 2026. The regulator said the campaign linked gambling with relief from everyday problems and could encourage socially irresponsible behaviour; it had received 125 complaints. Midnite said the scenes showed minor frustrations for comic effect, while Clearcast supported that interpretation.

The ruling signals that gambling adverts linking betting with relief from everyday problems may require changes to meet UK social responsibility standards.
