Arno Rutte says Netherlands plans law for one-day removal of illegal gambling sites
Dutch State Secretary for Justice and Security Arno Rutte said the government is preparing a bill to let the Kansspelautoriteit take illegal online gambling sites offline within one day. He said the bill’s outline is expected in the first quarter of 2026, and attributed some growth in illegal gambling to tighter rules for the licensed market.
The proposed powers could change how quickly the KSA can act against illegal gambling websites.
