APPG and Peers for Gambling Reform propose broad UK advertising restrictions
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Gambling Reform and Peers for Gambling Reform proposed wider limits on gambling advertising in a report on children and young people. Recommendations include ending pre-watershed advertising, sports sponsorship outside horse and greyhound racing, influencer promotion and direct marketing; the proposals have not been enacted.
Operators may need to revise advertising, sponsorship and customer outreach plans if these proposals become law.
