UK parliamentary group proposes broad gambling advertising restrictions
The All-Party Parliamentary Group on Gambling Reform proposed wide-ranging restrictions on gambling advertising in a report produced with Peers for Gambling Reform. Its recommendations include limits on advertising before 9pm, online marketing, sports sponsorship other than horse racing, influencer promotions and direct marketing; these are proposals, not enacted rules.
Operators may need to reassess advertising channels if the proposed restrictions are enacted.
