Alfa Bet seeks buyer as Brazilian betting market consolidates

Deals & M&A

Alfa Bet founder and operations director Matheus Antunes said the company was negotiating to transfer its operation to a new investor group, as it faced judicial claims nearing R$90m. The company said in court that regulatory costs contributed to its financial difficulties. Separately, Brazil’s Cade approved RNGX’s acquisition of Donald Bet and Bet Ponto Bet; the companies did not disclose the transaction value.

The reported financial distress and approved acquisitions indicate pressure on smaller operators in Brazil’s betting market.
