AGLC bars political event bets under revised Alberta gaming standards
Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis has prohibited online gaming operators from offering wagers on political events under revised standards released on 17 March. The rules also restrict bets on financial instruments and certain other outcomes, and set requirements for integrity monitoring, player protections and certified software testing.
Alberta operators must remove political-event wagers and meet the revised compliance requirements.
