Macau Legend Development said revised bank-loan arrangements have extended repayment periods on two facilities to 2030, and that it has begun repayments under the new terms. As of 31 October 2026, HK$1.96 billion remained outstanding on a HK$2.3 billion term facility; the company said HK$4.5 million had been repaid.
Macau Legend Development has begun repaying bank loans under revised arrangements as it works to address the issues behind its auditor’s disclaimer of opinion, the company said. Further steps may still be necessary to resolve those issues.
Macau Legend agreed the changes with its creditor banks in September 2026 and Luso International Bank in October 2026, obtaining lower interest rates and revised financial covenants, it said. The company said HK$1.96bn in principal remained outstanding on its HK$2.3bn term loan facility at 31 October 2026 and HK$4.5m had been repaid since the revised arrangements took effect.
Macau Legend had previously said it was discussing its loans with lenders after warning that the 2024 sale of its Laos casino, Savan Legend, had breached a covenant. The company had warned that the breach could have allowed some lenders to demand immediate repayment of all outstanding borrowings. The group’s satellite casino at Legend Palace on the Macau peninsula ceased gaming operations last November.
