Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission says grocery and convenience-store licensees may promote beverage alcohol with manufacturers but cannot accept or request inducements. Prohibited benefits include payments, free or discounted equipment, promotional materials and support linked to product visibility, shelf space or sales.
The restrictions shape how Ontario grocery and convenience retailers can negotiate with alcohol manufacturers.
