AGCO allows alcohol vending machines at licensed Ontario premises

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) updated its interim alcohol standards to allow licensed premises to use machines that sell and serve alcohol from 8 September 2026. Licensees must notify the AGCO, maintain continuous monitoring and supervise staff; machines may dispense beer, cider, wine and single-serve ready-to-drink beverages.
The change permits a new alcohol service method while setting notification, monitoring and product limits for licensees.
