Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) approved an earlier start to alcohol sales and service across the province on 22 February 2026, the final day of the Winter Olympics. Eligible licensed premises may serve from 6am, while the usual 2am closing time remains. The extension applies indoors only; municipalities can opt out, leaving normal hours of 9am to 2am in force.

Eligible licensed premises can serve alcohol earlier, unless their municipality opts out of the extension.
