AGCO reminds Ontario alcohol permit holders of World Cup operating rules

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) issued guidance on 9 June 2026 for alcohol permit holders preparing for increased business during this summer’s football World Cup. The guidance covers age checks, responsible service, permitted hours, capacity limits, temporary outdoor areas and preventing illegal gambling, among other requirements.
Permit holders must observe AGCO rules on alcohol service and prevent illegal gambling during increased World Cup activity.
