ACMA secures 18-month undertaking from Palmerbet over BetStop breaches

Enforcement & compliance

Australia’s ACMA said Palmerbet accepted 312 bets from a customer registered with BetStop between December 2024 and February 2025. The bookmaker repaid the customer’s deposits and must commission an independent compliance review and implement its recommended improvements under an 18-month court-enforceable undertaking.

Wagering operators must close BetStop-registered customers’ accounts as soon as practicable and stop providing online wagering services.
