- Russian officials propose legalising online casinos after crackdown struggles
Deputy Finance Minister Ivan Chebeskov said illegal online casinos continue to expand in Russia despite enforcement efforts. The Finance Ministry has proposed ending the ban and requiring online casinos to pay at least 30% of revenue after winnings; lawmakers and religious leaders have opposed the plan.
