Wisconsin Senate passes tribal online sports betting bill
Wisconsin’s Senate passed Assembly Bill 601 by 21–12 on the final day of its 2026 regular session, sending it to Governor Tony Evers. The bill would allow online sports betting only through servers on tribal lands; Evers has yet to decide whether to sign it. If enacted, the state would need to negotiate gaming compacts with its 11 tribes and obtain Bureau of Indian Affairs approval before betting could launch.
The bill’s status and tribal-server condition determine whether operators can pursue online sports betting in Wisconsin.
