VGCCC considers legal action over influencers’ gambling content

Regulation

Victoria’s VGCCC is assessing social media posts about poker machines, gambling venues and wins for possible breaches of state advertising laws. The regulator said individuals convicted of a criminal offence could face fines of up to AU$24,421 and that it would launch a campaign to inform influencers about legal risks.

Influencers and gaming venues may face enforcement scrutiny over gambling promotion and filming in gaming areas.
