Jdigital opposes proposed Spanish gambling reforms and considers legal action
Jdigital said it would not cooperate with Spain’s government or regulator on proposed gambling reforms until after next year’s parliamentary elections. The measures include cross-operator deposit limits and a DGOJ-mandated central algorithm to detect problematic gambling; operators are also considering legal action to prevent implementation of the deposit limits, according to a lawyer cited in the report.
The proposals could change deposit controls and marketing rules for licensed operators in Spain.
