Veikkaus sets online gambling loss checkpoints by age

Regulation

Veikkaus will introduce loss checkpoints for online gambling customers on 9 June, the company said. The first checkpoint is €4,000 for customers aged 18 and 19, €8,000 for those aged 20 to 24, and €24,000 for customers over 25. Customers reaching a threshold must discuss their gambling with a Veikkaus representative; the policy excludes land-based slots and table games.

The age-based thresholds require online customers to review their gambling with Veikkaus after specified losses.
