Valve bars skin-betting sponsorships from Counter-Strike 2 tournaments
Valve updated its Counter-Strike 2 tournament rules on 9 December 2025 to prohibit skin-betting and casino-related site logos or advertisements in tournament broadcasts. Organisers also cannot accept sponsorships from services related to Valve game inventories, while traditional cash-based casinos and sportsbooks remain eligible sponsors.
Tournament organisers and teams must remove covered sponsors and branding from Counter-Strike 2 events.
