US gaming coalition urges Senate to bar sports event contracts
A coalition of gaming, tribal and state organisations urged US senators to prohibit sports and casino-related event contracts in legislation on crypto market structure, according to the report. In a letter dated 16 June 2026, the signatories argued that prediction markets circumvent state and tribal betting rules and called for sports betting to remain outside the Commodity Futures Trading Commission’s remit.
