UNLV study finds 7% of Colorado sports bettors report serious gambling problems

Regulation

UNLV researchers reported interim findings from a study of gambling in Colorado, with lead researcher Shane Kraus saying the project included 500 randomly selected residents. The results found that 4% of Coloradans bet on sports and 7% of those bettors reported serious problems; the study's final results are expected after the Super Bowl in February.

The findings give Colorado stakeholders preliminary data on problem gambling among sports bettors.
