Ulsan police dismantle two illegal betting sites with six years of revenue

Enforcement & compliance

Ulsan Metropolitan Police Agency said it dismantled two illegal betting sites that allegedly operated from January 2020 until February and generated $48 million over six years. Police arrested eight people, with seven held in custody on gambling-related charges, and seized 62 million won in cash. The sites offered slots and baccarat, police said.

The arrests and cash seizure demonstrate South Korean police enforcement against alleged illegal online betting operations.
