South Korean police refer 118 people in two illegal gambling investigations
South Korean police referred 118 people to prosecutors in an investigation into two alleged illegal gambling networks, the report said. Police attributed more than 123bn won in betting transactions to the two cases: one network allegedly operated from Vietnam and the other ran online betting and casino platforms between November 2022 and July 2025.
The investigations show enforcement across both domestic-facing and overseas-based illegal gambling networks.
