UKGC reports 2.5% of recent online gamblers used illegal sites

Regulation

The UK Gambling Commission reported initial Illegal Gambling Index findings from Great Britain’s 2025–26 survey data. It said 2.5% of people who gambled online in the past year had used illegal websites in the previous four weeks, while a further 1.5% had done so earlier in the year. The Commission said it was too early to assess the effect of increased disruption activity in Q2 2026/27.

The findings give operators and regulators measures of reported illegal-site use and its demographic patterns.
