UK Gambling Commission consults on routing betting settlements to government fund

Regulation

The UK Gambling Commission is consulting on a proposal to transfer negotiated betting settlements to the UK Consolidation Fund. The Commission said the change would close a gap that currently excludes settlements from the fund; responses are due by 2 April 2026, after which it will consider final rules.

Operators can comment on a proposal that would change where negotiated settlement payments go.
