Uganda’s NLGRB links problem gambling with mental health at awareness camp
Uganda’s National Lotteries and Gaming Regulatory Board (NLGRB) took part in the fourth National Mental Health Awareness Camp, where it discussed links between problem gambling and mental wellbeing. The board said its responsible-gaming programme promotes public education and consumer protection, and that it works with Mbarara Regional Referral Hospital and Itojo Hospital on support for affected people.
The board’s healthcare partnerships inform operators and public bodies about referral and support measures for gambling-related harm.
