Turkey’s gaming and lottery regulator blocked Polymarket for offering what it called illegal bets, according to the report. The Information and Communication Technologies Authority confirmed the decision, which restricts the prediction-market platform’s access in Turkey.
The block prevents Polymarket from operating in Turkey and adds a further jurisdictional restriction for the platform.

Norway’s Lotteritilsynet sent DNS-blocking notices to 62 companies it says offer illegal gambling to Norwegian consumers, including Polymarket and Kalshi. The companies have until 15 October to submit comments before the regulator makes final decisions; its director expects blocking to take place in autumn.

The Ohio Casino Control Commission issued demands on 2 October for prediction market operators and brokers to withdraw sports contracts from Ohio. The outlet reported that recipients must provide written confirmation of compliance by 16 October, following a federal appeals ruling allowing Ohio to apply its gambling laws to these contracts.
The Ohio Casino Control Commission sent cease-and-desist letters on 2 October to 10 prediction market operators and brokers, requiring each to confirm in writing by 16 October that it has stopped offering sports event contracts to people in Ohio. The recipients are Coinbase, Gemini, Titan, Moomoo Financial, Novig, Plus500US, Polymarket, Prophet X, Robinhood Derivatives, Underdog Predict and Webull Financial. Kalshi, which contested the commission in court, did not receive a new letter; it already faces a proposed $5m fine from the commission.
Polymarket has challenged a €420,000 penalty in the Netherlands. The platform says it sought to meet the deadline for blocking access in the country.
The Czech Ministry of Finance added Kalshi to its list of unauthorised gambling providers on 30 September, according to a report. Czech law requires internet service providers to block listed platforms within 15 days, meaning access to Kalshi is due to be blocked from 15 October 2026.
