Tribal groups back Ho-Chunk Nation lawsuit against Kalshi and Robinhood
The Indian Gaming Association, the National Congress of American Indians and 16 tribes filed a legal brief supporting the Ho-Chunk Nation in its lawsuit against Kalshi and Robinhood. The groups argue that sports-related event contracts may breach the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act and tribal-state compacts; Kalshi maintains that its activities fall under federal commodities law.
The case could affect how prediction-market contracts are regulated on tribal lands and their relationship with tribal gaming compacts.
