TCU orders Cade to end betting association agreement within 30 days

Regulation

Brazil’s Federal Court of Accounts (TCU) ordered the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade) to terminate its cooperation agreement with the National Association for the Legal Security of Games and Betting, according to a media report. The TCU cited risks to Cade’s image and neutrality and set a 30-day deadline; Cade’s presidential office formalised a recommendation for unilateral termination on 7 August.

The order requires Cade to end its cooperation agreement, responding to concerns about its image and neutrality.
