Sweden's Spelinspektionen has banned Lufilight Ltd from offering gambling services in Sweden, the regulator said. The decision was made public on 28 October 2026. According to Spelinspektionen, Lufilight Ltd does not hold a Swedish licence to provide gambling services.
The authority said the ban follows from the company's lack of the required authorisation, and that it has prohibited Lufilight Ltd from making its offering available in the country without it. The measure forms part of the regulator's work against unauthorised online gambling, which it lists among its priority supervisory areas.
Spelinspektionen said its strategy aims to direct consumers towards operators holding a licence issued by the Swedish authorities, strengthening market supervision and countering unauthorised operators. The authority restated that measures to encourage gambling through licensed operators are a priority of its work.
The regulator also stressed the importance of transparency in handling administrative measures. It publishes decisions on bans imposed on operators offering online games illegally on its official website, making the grounds for the interventions accessible, so that decisions taken against companies without the authorisation required under Swedish law can be consulted.
