SPA bars social interaction features on betting platforms in Brazil

Regulation

Brazil’s Secretariat of Prizes and Betting (SPA) ruled against social interaction features on betting sites and apps in response to a consultation from Kaizen Gaming, according to the report. The SPA said such tools conflict with technical requirements for betting systems; their detection could prompt inspection and later administrative proceedings.

The ruling prevents betting operators from offering user-sharing and chat functions on their platforms in Brazil.
