South Jakarta prosecutors said they were ready to indict five suspects on gambling-related charges after police seized evidence valued at IDR 55 billion. The National Police’s Criminal Investigation Agency carried out the raid, according to the report; the suspects’ trial status was not specified.

A Macau court remanded an alleged ringleader in custody after mainland authorities arrested him and transferred him to Macau, the Public Prosecutions Office said on 5 September. The case involves alleged protection payments and offences at an unnamed Cotai resort; prosecutors said five suspects are now held pending trial and the investigation continues.
Incheon Yeonsu District police said they arrested and charged five people after raiding a suspected gambling venue in South Korea on 5 April. Police said the group had played about 50 times and that losers paid winners 3,000 won per game, plus 1,000 won per point. The investigation was ongoing, police said.

The UKGC announced on 13 March 2025 that Haydon Simcock faced charges of providing gambling facilities in Great Britain without an operating licence and advertising those facilities. The regulator said its investigation, supported by Staffordshire Police, led to his arrest in September 2024, with a court appearance scheduled for 24 March 2025.
Arizona filed criminal charges against prediction-market operator Kalshi, the report said. The charges include 16 counts of illegal betting and wagering and four counts of illegal election wagering, each a misdemeanour carrying a maximum penalty of $20,000. Kalshi said it considers its markets legal under federal law.
