Gaolan prosecutors warn gambling-ring helpers face criminal charges in China
The Gaolan County People’s Procuratorate warned that drivers, couriers and lookouts who assist illegal gambling operations may face criminal prosecution, according to the reported statement. A court sentenced three people who helped a gambling ring to six months in prison, suspended for a year, and ordered each to pay a fine of around $450.
The warning and court sentences signal criminal exposure for service providers linked to illegal gambling rings.
