Enforcement & compliance

A district court in Smolensk gave three operators of an illegal poker club suspended prison terms of 20 to 22 months, reportedly. Each must serve two years of probation and pay a fine of 100,000 rubles, according to the report. Prosecutors said the club operated from January 2023 until a multi-agency raid in September 2024.

The sentences and fines set out the consequences for operators prosecuted for running an illegal gambling venue.
