Salones de Juego de Levante, S.L. has become the sole shareholder and sole administrator of Play Spain Casino, S.A., a company registered in Ceuta that holds a Spanish state-level online gambling licence, according to a commercial registry entry published on 28 October. The entries were registered on 21 October.

Simon John Mizzi and Nuria Mariana Ruiz de López Alemañ left the administration; they had been appointed by the previous owner, Gamesys Network Limited, a Maltese company in the Gamesys group. Gamesys belongs to the US company Bally's Corporation and operates brands in Spain including Botemanía and Monopoly Casino.

Gamesys set up Play Spain Casino in March 2025 in Ceuta with €60,000 in capital and a corporate purpose limited "solely and exclusively" to the operation of games of chance, including casino games.

According to a DGOJ resolution dated 11 June 2025, Play Spain Casino was created as part of a group restructuring. The aim was to receive separately the general "Other games" licence of Play Malta PLC, another Gamesys company, which obtained it in July 2019, together with its approved technical system and the guarantee deposited with the regulator. Play Malta's betting licence went to Games Spain Operations, S.A., the group company that has customers in Spain.

The group said in its application, as recorded in the resolution, that Play Malta "is not in an active state and has no users". It added that Play Spain Casino also has none "because it was incorporated within the framework of this business restructuring operation".

The total demerger of Play Malta, by then converted into a Spanish company with its registered office in Ceuta, was entered in the commercial registry in October 2025. In the regulator's operator register, Play Spain Casino appears with the general "Other games" licence and authorisation to advertise. No individual licence (roulette, blackjack, gaming machines and so on), which is what allows each type of game to be offered, is listed, and no website or brand is recorded.

For Salones de Juego de Levante the transaction is a business step. According to the commercial registry, the company was incorporated in Murcia in 2018 and operates recreational and gaming machines in its own and third-party premises. It is run by joint administrators Antonio Nicolás Saura, Fulgencio Garcerán Galindo, Laura Gambín García and Santiago Gambín García.
