Rio Grande do Sul opens consultation on 20-year lottery concession
Rio Grande do Sul's government launched a lottery-services concession project and opened a public consultation on 16 December, according to reports. The project estimates R$52.6m in private investment over a 20-year term and covers fixed-odds betting and several lottery formats, with sales allowed in physical and digital channels. The consultation is scheduled to last 44 days, with a final notice expected in April 2026 and a contract potentially signed after an auction next year.
The consultation lets potential bidders shape a long-term project covering fixed-odds betting and lottery services across physical and digital channels.
