Rio Branco bans betting adverts at municipal events

Regulation

Rio Branco approved Municipal Law No. 2,678, prohibiting gambling advertisements at municipal events and events organised by municipal institutions, according to the report. The restrictions cover sports betting, online casinos and games of chance, while advertising on sports-club uniforms remains permitted during competitions; violations can lead to contract cancellation and a fine up to the contract’s value.

Betting companies and event contractors must exclude covered gambling advertising from municipal events while observing the sports-uniform exception.
