Play North appointed Anne-Jaap Snijders as chief executive, replacing Patrick Azzopardi, according to a report published on 30 September 2026. Snijders previously served as Kindred’s chief commercial officer. The report said the appointment followed a five-year licence renewal for Play North’s parent company the previous month.
The leadership change affects the management of Play North’s international operations.

Maple International Ventures, the operator behind Lottomart, announced that Edward Ware, Andrew McGrath and Michael Meade would join its board, subject to regulatory approval. The company said the appointments add experience in gaming, financial markets and capital markets; Ware previously led 32Red for more than 16 years.
FDJ United lowered its annual targets after Q3 2026 revenue fell 8.1% to €794m, with gaming revenue down 6.1% at €1.95bn. The group cited higher taxes in France, the UK and the Netherlands, costing €63m in the first nine months.

FDJ United plans to review its online betting and gaming portfolio, a process that could lead to exits from some markets or asset sales, the company said in its first-half 2026 results. CEO Stéphane Pallez cited higher gambling taxes among the pressures on performance; first-half EBITDA fell to €404m from €441m a year earlier.
FDJ United reported first-half revenue of almost €1.8 billion, down 4.5% year on year, and attributed the decline partly to higher gaming taxes in some markets. The company said UK and Netherlands headwinds weighed on results; excluding those markets, gross gaming revenue would have risen 6.6% and revenue 0.6%.
