Ontario AGCO sets trust-account rules for hall charities associations

Regulation

Source: AGCO (Ontario)

The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario sets terms for hall charities associations using consolidated designated trust accounts for lottery proceeds. Associations must maintain at least three designated accounts, keep specified financial records and submit to possible audits or investigations; breaches can lead to licence suspension or cancellation, or prosecution.

The requirements govern how eligible associations segregate and account for lottery proceeds.
