AGCO sets out plans to disrupt illegal gambling in Ontario

Ontario’s Alcohol and Gaming Commission (AGCO) says it will intensify efforts against illegal gambling through international cooperation, engagement with industry stakeholders and public awareness initiatives. The regulator also says it acted on an Ontario Superior Court of Justice ruling concerning games of skill machines to ensure licensees meet the Criminal Code definition of gambling.
The planned actions could affect gambling service providers and promotional channels operating in Ontario’s illegal market.
