Ontario AGCO requires charity lottery associations to maintain consolidated trust accounts
Source: AGCO (Ontario)
Ontario's Alcohol and Gaming Commission sets conditions for charity associations that use consolidated trust accounts for lottery proceeds. Associations must maintain at least three accounts for specified provincial and municipal lottery proceeds, notify the competent authority and keep separate ledger accounts and daily revenue journals; breaches may lead to licence suspension or cancellation, or prosecution.
The rules specify how charity lottery associations must segregate, document and report funds held in consolidated trust accounts.
