Oklahoma governor vetoes sweepstakes casino restrictions bill
Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt vetoed Senate Bill 1589, which would have criminalised online social casino games using dual-currency systems. Stitt said its broad definition of value and felony penalties could affect app developers, online promotions and marketing tools. Lawmakers have until 29 May to attempt an override, which requires a two-thirds majority in each chamber.
The veto leaves the proposed criminal restrictions on sweepstakes casino models unenacted unless lawmakers override it.
