OFAC sanctions two Mexico casinos over alleged Cartel del Noreste links
The US Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control sanctioned six targets on Tuesday in connection with an alleged Cartel del Noreste money-laundering and cash-smuggling operation. The action designated Casino Centenario and Diamante Casino as cartel affiliates; Treasury alleged the casinos supported the cartel and were used for money laundering, with Centenario also linked to narcotics storage.
The designations prohibit US persons from generally conducting transactions with the two casinos.
