New Zealand High Court keeps related online gambling cases separate

Regulation

New Zealand’s High Court has several pending cases concerning online gambling services, including claims involving Bet365, SkyCity and Super Group. Justice Ian Gault said it was too early to place the cases under joint management and granted interim suppression of the plaintiffs’ names; Bet365 disputes the court’s jurisdiction, while SkyCity has denied liability in a separate claim.

The cases test operators’ exposure to claims concerning online gambling services offered to New Zealand players.
