New South Wales government outlines gambling consumer-protection reforms
The Minns Labor Government has announced proposed and partly implemented gambling reforms in New South Wales. The measures include increasing the forfeiture of traded gaming machine entitlements from one in three to one in two, mandatory facial recognition to enforce the statewide exclusion register, and restrictions on advertising and direct marketing.
Operators may need to adjust gaming machine holdings, exclusion checks and marketing practices as the measures progress.
