Brazil finance and justice agencies agree digital betting consumer-protection work
Brazil's Secretariat of Prizes and Betting and National Secretariat for Digital Rights signed a technical cooperation agreement on 16 June 2026 to strengthen bettor protection and responsible gambling online, the finance ministry said. The 24-month agreement covers work on manipulative design, responsible advertising, platform transparency and consumer safeguards, with possible extension.
The agencies' planned guidance and studies could shape consumer-protection expectations for operators in Brazil's regulated betting market.
